Inside Portside – February 2018 – Where to Dine this Valentine’s Day
Planning in advance is tough amongst our busy lives. With Valentine’s Day approaching, many of us still face the dilemma of finding the perfect restaurant or the ideal grab and go. If you’re yet to decide on where to dine, have no fear, we’ve curated our ultimate Valentine’s Day restaurants to help you out.
Want to dine out this Valentine’s Day?
For the ultimate date night: Say it with Sono! For $128pp, enjoy either a six-course Teppanyaki or À La Carte menu while you immerse yourself in all things Japanese. The multi-award winning Sono features river views and private tatami rooms. We recommend trying the Teppanyaki station for an exciting night you won’t forget.
For the pasta lover: Journey to Italy at Gusto Da Gianni’s. For $85pp, you could be enjoying a set menu in a rustic setting, with a modern twist. Gusto Da Gianni’s waterfront venue is a fantastic place to watch the sunset this Valentine’s Day. Add the extra touch with a personalised special edition bottle of 958 Santero “I Love You” with your lover’s name on it for only $50, (must be pre-booked with Gusto Da Gianni, to book call 07 3868 2011).
For the romantics looking for a night out: Pop into Belvedere Bar N Grill and enjoy a set menu for $85pp while you dine next to the wharf overlooking the Brisbane river. We hear the Cape Grim Sirloin beef (300g) is mouth-watering.
For the Mediterranean lover: With an extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu and a modern fusion of Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisines, Byblos will inspire your senses with its delicious three-course Valentine’s Day banquet for $75pp.
For the chocolate lover: Chocolate is always a good idea. Especially when Max Brenner is launching their new pizza menu this Valentine’s Day! Combine your love of chocolate with the Max Brenner’s Bad Boy Brownie, Cookies and Cream, Midnight Peanut Butter or the OTT Madness Chocolate Pizza for the perfect night beside the river. We recommend the OTT Madness for $35 worth of chocolate overload.
