Portside Wharf’s dining scene is growing with new charcoal grilling and modern Japanese store, Bird’s Nest, now open
High-quality ingredients are prepared and cooked fresh on-site each day, meticulously grilled over traditional binchotan (premium white charcoal), and served as a delicious range of rice bowls, salad bowls, burgers, skewers, and Japanese-style street food.
There’s options to suit a variety of dietary requirements and taste preferences —whether you’re a spring chicken or an old chook, Bird’s Nest has something on the menu for everyone. There is even a kiddo menu to keep the little cheepers happy.
Chefs and team members are just as obsessed with amazing food as you are, making consistently speedy and friendly service almost as addictive as the
gourmet meals. Bird’s Nest chefs are trained in cooking techniques handed down by traditional yakitori chefs based in Japan. This means you get to experience the authentic taste of Japan with a unique Aussie twist.
