CREAMY GARLIC PRAWNS
300 ml cream
1 1/2 tsp cornflour
5 garlic cloves finely chopped
1/2 bunch chives finely chopped
1/4 tsp chicken stock powder
1/4 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 kg tail-on prawns shelled
2 garlic cloves thinly sliced
1 tsp cornflour
1 tbsp. olive oil
1. Combine first seven ingredients and set aside, preferably the day before needed.
2. Mix garlic and cornflour with ½ the oil.
3. Heat the remaining oil, toss in the prawns and garlic cornflour mixture and cook until prawns are ¾ cooked.
4. Add cream mixture and cook for 2 minutes or until thick.
5. Serve with some good crusty bread.
