It will be love at first sip for visitors to Portside Wharf’s latest offering, Temple Boba – a new luxe boutique bubble tea bar anticipated to open in August.
Temple Boba is the creation of Better Foods Family and is set to offer customers bubble tea in a chic and sophisticated environment.
With the fitout now underway, the 60sqm bar will feature textured walls, luxurious Calacatta marble, stylish round tables and timber chairs in hues of deep burgundy and plum tones in the indoor and alfresco area, mirroring the minimalist beauty and tranquillity of cherry blossom trees.
Better Foods Family has partnered with distinguished interior architects Muscolino Shaw and builders Lowry Group on the fitout of Temple Boba.
“Temple Boba has been conceived as a sophisticated yet moody escape,” said Muscolino Shaw Director Lewis Shaw.
“We endeavoured to create a design that engages every human sense, so when you visit Temple Boba, you’ll feel warm and comforted when enjoying not only the beverages, but the hospitality and ambience.
“Materials have all been hand selected to allow a continued journey of discovery the longer you stay. Visitors will feel a sense of familiarity with the origins of authentic bubble tea with the use of colour and unexpected visual delights,” he said.
Brookfield Properties Executive Vice President, Lee Butterworth said Temple Boba was a wonderful addition to the precinct.
“We are delighted to have Temple Boba join our vibrant waterfront village, especially during this pivotal moment in Portside Wharf’s 17-year history,” he said.
“Our extensive multi-million-dollar makeover and community-centric approach have attracted a surge of new retailers over the past year, with 13 exciting new tenants securing more than 2,200sqm of space.
“We know locals and visitors will embrace Temple Boba’s elevated bubble tea and dessert offering and give them the warm welcome they have shown other new operators, like seafood restaurant, Fosh, by Michael Tassis and French high-end boulangerie and salon de thé, Rise Bakery,” he said.
Temple Boba will provide all the traditional boba favourites, including creamy taro milk tea, invigorating matcha, indulgent brown sugar milk tea, refreshing passion fruit black tea and a wide variety of toppings, alongside unique, limited edition and seasonal flavours.
Temple Boba is the latest venue to be announced by Portside Wharf this year, with fit-outs also underway on gastropub Portside Social and Italian bistro Sbagliata, by renowned chef and restaurateur Ashley-Maree Kent.
