Wonder Wheel Seniors Preview | Dec 6
Strap yourselves in for a very special screening of Wonder Wheel as you immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of the Coney Island amusement park in the 1950s.
From 10:30am, sit back and relax while you enjoy morning tea upon arrival and follow the lives of four characters – Ginny, Humpty, Mickey and Carolina – as their lives intertwine throughout the film.
Follow Ginny, the wife of a carousel operator, who perks up when she falls for Mickey, a handsome lifeguard. But when her husband’s estranged daughter resurfaces and sets her sights on Mickey, it begins ‘the great unravelling of Ginny’.
Retro Screening: Miracle on 34th Street | Dec 11
Tis the season for Christmas classics at Dendy Cinemas, Portside Wharf, with a retro screening of Miracle on 34th Street screening at 10.00am and 6:30pm on December 11.
Get in the festive spirit with a Christmas pudding and drink upon arrival as you follow the tale of an old man, Kris Kringle, who fills in for an intoxicated Santa in Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day parade.
Kringle proves to be such a hit that he is soon appearing regularly at the chain’s main store in midtown Manhattan. When Kringle surprises customers and employees alike by claiming that he really is Santa Claus, it leads to a court case to determine his mental health and, more importantly, his authenticity.
