Get Your Fright On: House of Horror Returns to Dendy Cinemas Portside

Halloween is getting a cinematic makeover as Dendy Cinemas Portside brings back its annual House of Horror Halloween Theatre Takeover on Saturday, 31 October 2026.

Now in its fifth year, this fright-filled event invites horror fans to step into the darkness for a night of classic scares, cult favourites and restored horror films across two individually themed screening rooms.

Four Films. One Night of Horror.

From legendary slashers to chilling cult classics, this year's line-up features four films guaranteed to set the mood for Halloween.

The scares extend beyond the screen, with Dendy Cinemas Portside transforming its foyer and candy bar with spooky decorations and plenty of photo opportunities for those brave enough to venture out on Halloween night.

Guests are encouraged to wear their wildest and weirdest costumes. Costumed ticket holders will receive a free small popcorn, while themed candy bar treats and cocktail offerings add to the festivities.

There will also be a best-dressed competition, giving guests the chance to show off their Halloween creativity and go into the running for the top prize.
