Portside Wharf’s dining scene is becoming even sweeter with the opening of new gelato store, Rosé Gelateria, which is set to become a dessert haven for locals.
Husband and wife team Bronson Tucker and Diana Prinz are the masterminds behind Rosé Gelateria, with the Portside Wharf venue becoming their third, after launching their first two stores on the Gold Coast at Sanctuary Cove (May 2021) and Main Beach (June 2022).
The pair has successfully built a loyal customer base – one scoop at a time – with Ms Prinz saying they are thrilled to be bringing the full flavours and joy of their artisanal gelatos to Brisbane customers with their first store in the region.
“We have poured our passion and love for gelato into the creation of Rosé Gelateria, and it’s clear from the support we have received that others can feel and taste that appreciation as well,” said Ms Prinz.
“We aren’t your everyday gelato store. As a boutique provider, we put considerable thought into every detail, flavour, and the overall experience we offer, with our customers at the forefront of each choice.
“Our vision for Rosé Gelateria has been to create truly beautiful spaces for friends, families and people to connect while enjoying our artisanal range of gelatos and treats. We are delighted to continue bringing this vision to life at Portside Wharf.”
Ms Prinz said the duo decided to open a store at Portside Wharf, which will include 56sqm of indoor dining space and an alfresco outdoor seating area.
“Our store will be positioned in the heart of the precinct next to Dendy Cinemas and close to many of the precinct’s award-winning restaurants,” she said.
“The location is perfect as there is something very nostalgic and timeless about indulging in gelato right after a movie, meal, or by the water.
“We also decided to open our first Brisbane store at Portside Wharf because we felt it was such an exciting opportunity to be part of its current redevelopment and reimagined vision aimed at capturing the hearts of the local community.”
“The store design includes dedicated gelato, cafe and takeaway spaces, to best suit the desires of customers looking to dine in, or those who are on the go.”
Mr Tucker said Rosé Gelateria’s menu would have something for everyone, whether they were looking to treat themselves or someone else.
“Our menu will boast 20 signature flavours, with a range of vegan and dairy-free options, and four delicious, limited-edition flavours that will rotate each month. We will also offer pet-friendly gelato for furry family members,” he said.
“Some customer favourites we are excited to serve up include our signature creamy rose gelato, made with rosewater and topped with rose petals, and our Biscoff gelato, made with real biscuit spread and infused with caramel.
“All our gelato flavours are inspired by a trip my wife and I took to the homeland of gelato, Florence in Italy, which is where we were taught the authentic way of crafting gelato by a local teacher.
“Our menu will also offer a tasty range of fresh artisan goods and drinks, including macarons, cookies, dessert jars, juices, milkshakes and a specialty coffee blend called Paper Moon from local provider Paradox Coffee Roasters, which has notes of black cherry and plum.”
